DIAVOLO with the Omaha Symphony – Thursday, October 28, 2010

The Omaha Symphony joins adventurous movement troupe Diavolo on-stage to present “Fearful Symmetries.” Direct from its premiere with the L.A. Philharmonic, this audacious collaboration of staggering scale and innovation is set against a magnificent score by America’s most prominent composer, John Adams.



Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, The Nutcracker – Thursday, December 2, 2010 and

Aspen Santa Fe Ballet returns to the Orpheum with a transcendent take on a cherished holiday institution. Known for his expressive touch on the vibraphone, Stefon Harris also likes to bring the funk. This inventive collaboration with his quintet Blackout supplies in-your-face grooves along with sensitive solos.  Think Gershwin meets go-go –  this music is brittle, mysterious, sweet, and always incredible.
