Tour the Orpheum Theater!

Originally built in 1927, the classic Orpheum Theater has been referred to as Omaha’s "golden palace." Since its first use as a vaudeville house, the venue has hosted performances from such legendary performers as Bob Hope, Glen Miller, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and Lucille Ball. Following a $10 million renovation in 2002, the Orpheum is now more spectacular then ever, boasting original Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers, lavish marble, mirrored walls, draperies and ornate hand-carved and gilded adornments throughout.

Public tours are free of charge and are offered every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and last one hour.

Tours include:
  • A look at the rich history of the Orpheum Theater
  • Architectural highlights
  • The unique opportunity to tour backstage.

Public tours are led by experienced guides and depart from the Orpheum Theater’s main entrance at 409 South 16th St. Tours are limited to 25 people and registration is required.

    Register by calling (402) 661-8444 or e-mailing info@omahaperformingarts.org.
