Cameron Carpenter smashes the stereotypes of organ music by creating live performances with all the glitz and glamour you’d expect from a pop star. His organ playing has the physicality of a dancer, and his taste in stage wear has the extravagance of Lady Gaga. Able to coax the wildest of sonorities from his instrument, this accomplished and exciting organist’s performance should not be missed. Carpenter will play the Orpheum’s Wurlitzer Style 240 pipe organ, which was installed when the theater was built in 1927.
