Opera Omaha Brundibar Saturday, November 7, 2009 6:30pm The Rose Theater | 2001 Farnam Street
Brundibár is a musical fable with an empowering message – a community united can beat the bad guy. For its creators, cast and audience the opera rang out with a defiant, hidden meaning, because Brundibár was first performed by the Jewish inmates of the Terezín concentration camp during World War II.
